Working closely under the supervision of Phylicia Littleton the School Counselor at Benjamin Syms Middle School. This school presents services and interventions to 750 students from 6th-8th grade. This internship requires 300 total hours to be completed in a K-12 environment with at least 120 direct service hours and 180 indirect service hours.
Key Responsibilities:

Held individual counseling sessions throughout the semester reaching over 50 students to assist in social issues such as conflict resolution, classroom behavior, building friendships, and eliminate bullying.

Designed innovate methods and materials to engage students of diverse backgrounds in career exploration and academic goal setting.

Developed a Transition Workshop for the Academies of Hampton to assist students in applying to the high school of their choice.
